What does it mean if a guy sends you 25 text messages in one day?

Maybe he's homesick and lonely? I would feel suffocated if anyone even a close friend contacted me that often in one day! Maybe you can tell him to keep it at a minimum due to your phone plan so he doesn't get obsessed.
